Prenatal Yoga for Labour & Birth
Explore movement, breath, sound, and visualization as you cycle through the stages of labour in this hour long Yoga inspired class for soon to be Mamas.
Yoga for Labour and Birth focuses on preparing, strengthening, and opening the areas of the body that will be supporting and working with you through labour and birth. We will practice yoga postures and movement specific to the various stages of labour and bring in affirmations, visualization and breath to empower you for your upcoming birth journey. Here in this hour long class you will be given the space to explore your feelings around birth, your likes and dislikes, the way that your body likes to move, and how you feel about letting go into the depths of labour. Lights will be dim and you are invited to go inward. This class is suitable for Mamas at any stage of pregnancy that are ready to explore and prepare for labour and birth. You are welcome and encouraged to begin this class as early in pregnancy as desired. |

Mom & Babe Yoga
Take the time and space to breathe and re-connect with your postpartum body and Mother self. This includes nursing babes, diaper changes, and everything that comes with being a Mom.
We will move mindfully and gently, bringing in awareness, strength, and opening to your beautiful postpartum body. Together we will breathe, move, connect and find silence. You are seen and welcome as you are ❤ This class is for Mamas and their babes who are not yet crawling. |

Andrea is a calm and compassionate space holder for women, especially those on the journey of Motherhood. She welcomes you as you are, creating a sacred container for you to unfold within.
Andrea teaches from a place of grounded feminine softness, guiding from her heart. Her classes are slow, gentle, grounding and inward, serving to guide you back to your body, breath and truth. Every woman is welcome regardless of previous experience and she strives to create a sense of community.
It was in 2008 that Andrea first called Yoga into her life. It changed her, helping her to begin to inhabit her body again and heal from a lifetime of dissociation and disordered eating. Since then, she has trained as a Yoga Therapist, pre and postnatal yoga teacher, and shamanic yoga practitioner. She honours her teachers - Nikki Manzie, Christine Selda and Ann-Kathrin Martins, giving humble thanks for the deep lessons and healing. Andrea lives on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish People in the magic of the Cowichan Valley with her 7 year old daughter Aluna and their cats Rainbow and Isis.
