Conscious Pregnancy Journey Class
This 8 week class is designed for women who see pregnancy & birth as a potent and spiritual time and wish to go deeper.
What Are the Benefits of this Class?
This class will delve into the emotional, spiritual, and physical realms of pregnancy and offer you an opportunity to deepen into the experience and yourself. This journey will be combined with therapeutic yoga for pregnancy to support the process.
Each class is 90 mins.

Commune with other pregnant women and connect in sisterhood
Address any fears and cultivate your strengths
Share in a supportive group
Connect with your baby and your body
Create a daily ritual to support you in your pregnancy
Gain a better understanding of what your body is going through
Feel more comfortable "letting go"
Optimize the potent time of pregnancy as a way to grow and learn about yourself
Be nurtured and pampered through massage and Goddess ceremony
Find comfort in asserting your needs and making space for yourself

Pregnancy across many cultures is known as a time when women have the desire to commune with one another, tell stories, share experiences, and also to be still, go within themselves, and to grow, learn, and become strong. In our culture, this process is often not honoured. This class has been designed for you to have an opportunity to follow your instinct and true nature in your journey of pregnancy.
What will we cover in this 8 week journey?
Week 1 - Connecting with your body, your baby, and the sisterhood of women who surround you on the journey.
Week 2 - Control vs. surrender when traversing the unknown. Identifying fears and cultivating your strengths.
Week 3 - Self love and self care during pregnancy. Using your voice and speaking your needs.
Week 4 - Connecting with your sensual self and your womb space. Bringing in movement and sensuality.
Week 5 - Soul level shifts and connection to the other side. Your baby in between the physical and spirit world.
Week 6 - This week you are invited to bring your partner. What you might experience during labour. Coping techniques. Q & A with a Doula.
Week 7 - You as a birthing Goddess. Your beliefs around birth. Making birth prayer flags. Integrating and revisiting your work so far.
Week 8 - Mother's Blessingway ceremony, belly painting and adornment. Honouring you as the Mother.
* this week you will be invited to bring a special female in your life to paint your belly and celebrate

When & Where?

Each class will begin with meditation, chanting, and group check in and sharing.
We will then move into the journey portion of the class, which will be rich with guided self inquiry, journalling, group work, art, and unique information about pregnancy and birth. Each class will consist of some form of therapeutic yoga - asana, guided visualization, breath work, mudra and mantra, or energy work - and end with a final relaxation.
Each week you can expect to leave class with exercises to inspire you into deeper transformation. These might consist of writing, art, connection with others in your life, or be breath work/asana based.
Exercises will either be private for your own growth or shared with the group during the next class/posted to the Facebook group.

Take a step towards conscious Motherhood.
This class is offered as a way for you as the pregnant woman to connect with other pregnant women and yourself during this potent and deep time. Yoga will be offered to support the process and to assist your body in opening for the upcoming journey of labour and birth. This class is a perfect compliment to a regular prenatal yoga practice.

Andrea is a therapeutic yoga teacher, Doula, and Mama. She has studied all aspects and layers of yoga in depth, including yoga for pregnancy, taken courses with Birthing From Within and worked in group environments where deep healing and transformation is occurring. Her yoga classes and private sessions are known to be grounding, nurturing, and accepting. She brings a well rounded basis of experience, passion and other healing modalities to her work with women on the path of conscious pregnancy, conception, and Motherhood. She truly believes that pregnancy and birth are the times when a woman can see her souls truth and heal on so many levels.
